Ok, Denver. Seriously. Brr. -10 degrees? I am pretty sure all of us who moved here from Michigan are homesick and all of us who moved here from the south are miserable. Please get back to your 30 degree fluctuations in the winter, and give us our 30 degree nights and 60 degree days back!
So all that being said, being a wedding florist in Denver, I decided to post some of my favorite bouquets and boutonnieres from the summer. Poppies, protea, and lotus pods fill this delicious bouquet photographed by one of Denver's top photographers, Rayna Mcguiness.
The rich colors in this bridal bouquet are hunger-inspiring in rich fuchsia, hot yellows and oranges, and bright, scrumptious greens. The bouquet contains anemones, ranunculus, poppies, juliet garden roses, geranium foliage, rosemary, lotus pods, mums, and pincusions! It was designed for Wedding Wars Colorado, 2014.
Peacock feathers, lovely tropical heliconia, green trick, orchids and awesome summer grasses fill this tropical bridal bouquet. We love doing wedding flowers in Denver, but we also love the warm sands of the tropics. This shoot was designed to mix the two. A perfect summer bridal bouquet, contrasting against the ballerina style wedding dress.
Check out those peonies! Yes! Those hot pink monsters are peonies. The Parrot tulip in the top is rad as well, eh? This bouquet also has anemones, pincushions, and orange ranunculus. Hyacinth provides that stark white contrast. Photo by Jennie Crate.
Succulent boutonnieres are some of my faves! They last SO long, and can be re-planted after the wedding to last a lifetime! Thsi one had awesome peacock feathers, midolina wood, and bright colors to contrast the grey accented suit the groom wore! Love succulent bouts!
Check out this boutonniere with feathers, wax flower and leucadendron flower! Very unusual boutonniere, and a fun summer palate. If you want a masculine boutonniere for your summer wedding flowers, we are happy to accommodate!
Hops! Such the perfect summer treat. This hops boutonniere is made with pheasant feathers and succulents as well. The groom brewed beer, so we added hops to the wedding floral. Love those personal touches, even for the grooms!
Hope our summer floral helped warm you up, and improve the mood! It should be 50 degrees next week in Denver, so maybe we'll post our winter wonderland wedding! Stay tuned!
